The Workshops Rail Museum and Cobb+Co Museum re-open today

The Workshops Rail Museum in North Ipswich and the Cobb+Co Museum in Toowoomba will re-open to the public today, Monday 17 January.

The Workshops Rail Museum was not affected by flooding and all collection items are secure.

The Cobb+Co Museum sustained minor flooding. No collection items were damaged.

The Workshops Rail Museum will continue their full holiday program, ‘Day out with Thomas 2011’ until 30 January.

‘Day out with Thomas 2011’ is Australia’s biggest Thomas & Friends event with activities including Fat Controller storytelling, hands-on activities in the Thomas Play Pit and finding Thomas on the Museum’s huge model railway.

Cobb+Co Museum’s ‘A Bugs World’ holiday program will continue including the special 3-d bug experience giving people the opportunity to view magnified images of minute insects with the aid of 3D glasses.
