Support us

You can't tell the story of Queensland without mentioning the enormous impact and opportunities rail brought to the state. As well as honouring the contribution made by the Ipswich Railway Workshops to Queensland's development, The Workshops Rail Museum fosters an understanding and appreciation of rail through research, exhibitions, public programs and displays.

Your support helps us preserve Queensland's rail heritage, like the A10 No 6, Australia's oldest working steam locomotive. You can see it on display in All aboard.

The Workshops Rail Museum is part of the Queensland Museum Network, which means we rely on community support to keep doing what we do.

The Queensland Museum Network Foundation coordinates our partnership, fundraising and development opportunities – please consider making a tax-deductable donation or contact us to discuss partnership opportunities with The Workshops Rail Museum.

Your support will assist us in preserving and presenting our rail heritage: past, present and future.
