A Sensory Friendly Day out with Thomas

We're excited to present a Day out with Thomas session for children with sensory processing difficulties.

For this very special day we will turn the sound down and create an engaging and fun space that children with sensory processing difficulties can share with their families and carers.

We will also have a couple of chill out zone options if some quiet space is required as well as child-sized earmuffs from EMs 4 Kids available for use during your visit.

Fat Controller storytelling

Date: Wednesday 18 January 2017
Time: All day 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
Where: The Workshops Rail Museum, North Street, North Ipswich
Cost: Usual general Museum entry applies. You can pre-purchase a general entry ticket here or purchase at the gate.

What to expect

We have made some modifications to our displays and activities. While we will do our best to minimise the noise levels of the exhibits and activities, not all of them will be completely silent. The usual performance by The Fat Controller will be changed to a quieter storytelling session.

If you would like specific information to help plan your visit, please contact us on (07) 3432 5100 or email us at info@theworkshops.qm.qld.gov.au and we will be very happy to answer your questions.

The Sensory Friendly Day out with Thomas has been developed in cooperation with Autism Queensland.
