Harlequin Bugs

These attractive sap-sucking bugs, Tectocoris diophthalmus, feed on various plants in the family Malvaceae including cotton, hibiscus and, especially, the native cotton tree which grows on foreshores. They can be kept alive on a potted hibiscus plant.
