Opening Information – Bookings essential

The Workshops Rail Museum is now open with changes in line with Stage 3 of Queensland Government’s COVID Safe Roadmap to recoveryFree entry applies until 30 August 2020.

The health, safety and well being of our visitors and staff is our highest priority, so we have made some changes to how you visit. Please note, bookings are essential and sessions are limited.

General Visiting Advice

  1. Bookings are essential with two sessions available:
    Session 1: 9:30am - 11:30am
    Session 2: 12:30pm - 2:30pm
    Sessions are 2 hours each. 
  2. Make sure you read our Conditions of Entry
  3. Arrive 5 mins prior to your session time
  4. Upon arrival please scan the QR code to complete a contact tracing form for Queensland Health and display your green confirmation tick to our friendly staff
  5. Follow our directional signage and friendly staff
  6. Please note we are cashless - our Trackside Cafe and Retail Shop are EFTPOS only
  7. Enjoy your visit!

General Public Admission Information 

Bookings are essential. Ticket prices:

 Adult  $14.50 
 Concession: Pensioners, Seniors, F/T Students  $12.50 
 Child 3-5 years  $11.50 
 Family: 2 Adults + up to 4 Children  $44.50

Conditions of Entry

To keep you safe, we have updated our conditions of entry in line with COVID19 restrictions:

  • Visitor numbers are capped in accordance with government guidelines, thank you for your patience while you wait. 
  • Bookings essential.
  • Contact information is required for all visitors upon entry.
  • If you are unwell, we ask you not to enter and to please come back when you are feeling better.  
  • Bring a water bottle, our water bubblers are closed at the moment.
  • We’ll have signage and alcohol-based hand sanitiser available to help you to practice social distancing and good hygiene.  
  • Some displays and exhibits might be closed. Thank you for understanding.  
  • We can only let a few people into our bathrooms at once.  Please be patient, and give priority to people with special needs.
  • Please follow the directions of our friendly staff. They are here to help and keep you safe.
