Take a tour of the Museum, stopping at our STEM Stations for National Science Week 2019! 

  • Your destination: Destination Moon (theme for National Science Week 2019) 
  • Your mission: Have fun learning with free, hands-on engineering activities offered to visiting schools.

Explore principles of Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology as you take up each challenge by constructing, racing, propelling, testing and problem solving.

Audience
: Years 2–6

Dates: Monday 12, Tuesday 13, Thursday 15 and Friday 16 August, 2019

Session times: Hourly sessions 10:00am, 11:30am to 1:00pm. Each session offers 3 activities in class-sized rotations. 

STEM Stations you will visit:

  • Flight Academy Can you design an aircraft to a hover in our wind tunnel?
  • Rocket Launch Prepare for lift off. Counting down…
  • Moon Rover Construct an electric vehicle for moon exploration.

Places are limited, bookings essential.

Entry to the Museum is FREE for Queensland Schools during Term time. Supervising adults admitted free within recommended ratios.
